Healing begins with safety
Here at StableMinds, we’re all about creating a compassionate, grounded space where you can find steady support. By combining respectful listening with the unique, healing presence of horses, we’re here to help you build a stronger, more resilient mind.
StableMinds was born from the simple belief that true healing starts with feeling safe. For us, the word “Stable” represents steadiness and the comfort of a secure environment, just as a physical stable offers rest and protection to a horse. “Minds” is all about your emotional wellbeing. It reflects our dedication to every person who walks through our doors looking for support, healing, and gentle growth.
Together, StableMinds represents a place where you can feel supported, grounded and gently guided toward healing, at your own pace.
Equine Assisted Therapy
Horses have a unique and powerful way of being present. They respond honestly, intuitively, and without judgement or agenda. In their presence and through this connection, many people find it easier to slow down, breathe and reconnect.
Sessions take place in a calm, supported environment where both emotional and physical safety are prioritised. Horses are not tools, they are partners in creating a space of connection and belonging.
Equine Assisted Therapy may support:
- Emotional regulation
- Rebuilding trust
- Restoring confidence
- Processing trauma gently
- Developing grounded awareness
StableMinds Supports
Anxiety and Emotional Overwhelm
Horses provide immediate, honest feedback by responding to your level of presence and calm. Through guided, ground-based interactions, you learn to slow down, regulate your breathing, and build emotional awareness. Over time, these skills carry into daily life, supporting reduced anxiety, clearer thinking, and a greater sense of balance.
Occupational Stress and Burnout
This work offers a restorative space to step away from pressure and reconnect with a sustainable pace. Horses naturally reflect authenticity, helping you recognise stress, set boundaries, and reset when needed. This can lead to renewed energy, improved focus, and healthier ways of managing workload and demands.
Grief and Loss
Horses offer a calm, accepting presence that supports the expression of grief without judgement. Through gentle interaction, such as grooming or simply being present, you can process loss at your own pace. This helps foster connection, meaning, and the gradual integration of grief.
Exposure to Critical Incidents
Exposure to critical incidents can impact your sense of calm, clarity, and well-being over time. Equine-assisted therapy offers a grounded, supportive space to process these experiences, build awareness of stress responses, and restore a sense of balance and control, guided by a trauma-informed approach and an understanding of high-pressure environments.
Navigating Life Transitions
During times of change, working with horses supports adaptability, grounding, and reflection. These experiences help you develop new patterns and coping strategies that translate into everyday life, fostering resilience and a renewed sense of purpose.
Experience the calming presence of horses, fostering trust and emotional growth in a supportive environment.
